The majestic king of the forest walks slowly through the snow on a winter morning. What a magnificent view. Aware of his size and power, he exudes peace. When he is fully healthy, he is in no danger. No predator will risk clashing with a bull that is in the prime of its age and vitality. And this one walks slowly and dignifiedly in search of breakfast. He's big, so he has to eat a lot. On average, about 60 kg per day.
When full, he lies down and digests, absorbed in long and quiet meditation. Then he closes his eyes and freezes, with only his jaw moving.
Almost 100 years ago, these animals did not exist in the Białowieża Forest. The war turmoil caused all the bison to be exterminated. It took many years of intense efforts to restore them to the place where they had always lived. Restore to the forest, which is the last one resembles an ancient forest that once covered Europe.
What would the forest be without the majestic bison?
